Competition features four-days of 9 matches for each format. Each day playing format involves 2 players for each age division, the total of 18 members for each team. There will be 8 teams participated in the 2008 World Youth Team Challenge. The event would be consisted of 2 pools, 4 teams each pool. A winner will be decided from each pool after competing the round robin and the championship will be decided on the final day pitting. The pools seating will be determined by the Tournament Executive Committee and announced on June 1st. The teams are:

First Round Pool Play (Round Robin)
- Day 1 -- Saturday 7th - 9 holes Morning and 9 holes Noon Format
- Day 2 -- Sunday 8th - 9 holes Morning and 9 holes Noon Format
- Day 3 -- Monday 9th - 9 holes Morning and 9 holes Noon Format
- Every team plays each others in the same pool (Round Robin)
- Foursome Match (Alternate Shot) and Four-Ball Match (Best Ball) format for each day*
- Each group winner gets 1 point, tie gets 1/2 point both team
- Team points accumulated during 3 days Pool play will used to determine seating in the Championship Round
- In case there is a tie in team point after 3days Pool play, there will be a sudden death match of the Boys 14 age division only.
Championship Round
- Day 4 -- Tuesday 10th - 9 holes Morning and 9 holes Noon Format
- Foursome Match (Alternate Shot) and Four-Ball Match (Best Ball) format for the Championship day*
- Previous First Round Pool Play points will be erased
- Each group winner gets 1 point, tie gets 1/2 point both team
- First place team from pool A vs. first place team from pool B for 1st (champion) and 2nd (runner up) place
- Second place team from pool A vs. second place team from pool B for 3rd and 4th place
- Third place team from pool A vs. third place team from pool B for 5th and 6th place
- Fourth place team from pool A vs. fourth place team from pool B for 7th and 8th place
- In case there is a tie, there will be a sudden death match of the Boys 14 age division only.
*Foursomes (four groups of two-man teams) - "Foursome" play is a match where two golfers compete on a team against two other golfers and each side plays one ball. The golfers play alternate shots (player A hits tee shot, player B hits second shot, etc.) until the hole is played out.The team with the better score wins the hole. Should the two teams tie for best score, the hole is halved.
*Four-balls (four groups of two-man teams) - "Four-ball" play is a match in which each member of the two-man teams play their own ball. Four balls are in play per hole with each of the four players recording a score on the hole. The team whose player posts the best score on that hole wins the hole. Should players from each team tie for the best score, the hole is halved.
