The WYTC executive board is proud to announce the 2nd year WORLD YOUTH TEAM CHALLENGE.  This year the competition will be stronger as we have USA regional teams instead of state teams.  The World Youth Team Challenge 2008 consist of 8 teams:

1) Defending Champion USA
2) Mexico A
3) Mexico B
4) USA West Coast
5) USA Midwest
6) South Africa
7) Canada
8) USA East Coast

Now top junior golfers from all over the world will be competing in a Ryder Cup team format.  This will be a great opportunity for these accomplished junior golfers to test their skills against their counterparts in a team atmosphere and learn the strategies that come with match play.  This also gives them an opportunity to meet new people and make new friendships from around the world.

The teams will consist of junior golfers, boys from the age of 9 to 14 years old and girls from the age of 11 to 15.  Team members will have to qualify through sanctioned tournaments to be invited to play in this event.   Each country or regional team will determine their own qualifications of which players qualify for their respective team.

This magnificent event will be held at the beautiful Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook Illinois, on June 7-10, 2008.  The course, facility and clubhouse are ranked as one of the top golf course in Midwest.  Golf Magazine ranked Bolingbrook Golf Club the "Top Ten You Can Play".   Over 300 new public golf courses opened for play across America in 2002, the course was selected as one of the top 10.  Golf Digest ranked Bolingbrook Golf Club the "Top 15 New Upscale Public Courses for 2003".
